How to Help

School for Slum & Dump Children

The beginning of 2019 saw the opening of a new KISES school for children living in the slums and dumps of Vijayawada. This facility is seen as key to ending the horrors of generational poverty and child labour

How to Help

Health Camps

Local doctors are invited to attend our slum and dump schools to carry out examinations of children and adults. Invariably, all are suffering some form of ill health. All medicines and treatment are given free of charge

How to Help

Mobile School

At the heart of efforts to bring change to marginalised children from the poorest families for the past two years has been a Mobile School project which takes education, otherwise inaccessible, into the slums and dump yards of Vijayawada

How to Help

Sponsor a Child

Sponsoring a Child is a wonderful way to get involved with charities such as HEAL and KISES. For as little as 20 pounds per month you can help give a needy child shelter, regular meals, healthcare and access to full-time residential education

How to Help

Changing Lives

I TOOK my leave from a 35-year career in journalism in March 2015 and have since dedicated myself to supporting two charities who exist to eradicate poverty in southern rural India.

I divide my time between living in Andhra Pradesh, India, and my home town of Penarth, south Wales, where I work as a swimming instructor and hold exhibitions and talks to raise awareness of my voluntary activities.

Changing Lives in India does exactly what it says on the tin, as one advertising slogan goes... the aim is to protect the vulnerable, lift marginalised children and families out of crippling poverty, provide healthcare, education and feeding programmes and create positive outcomes for some of India's most downtrodden people.
